First order of buisness is email. There are several applications that will do the job. A little searching around the web mutt is very old school popular. Then I saw neomutt. Is it really that much better? Well, as far as I have read, neomutt is mutt with a lot of pending patches that the developer(s) of mutt didn’t come around to incorporate (yet). Patches are good right? So I chose neomutt as I chose vim over vi.

I used Luke Smiths mutt-wizard to set up my initial account and it worked like a charm. The only thing is that I have to find out what happend with all the configuration files. I will setup my other accounts by hand to learn what has to be done to accomplish that. The basics are there. I can read, write and reply an email. Whoohoo, babysteps…
